Educational Opportunities
Education, no matter the age, is a crucial step in the process to successfully manage an invasive species. ISN's goal is to provide the resources necessary to include invasive species information within your own education plans. This may be done in-person or via materials created that can be incorporated into existing curricula.
Below are examples of opportunities that were offered through the Invasive Species Network. As of late 2021, ISN is operating at a reduced capacity and has limited ability to provide educational opportunities. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!
However, looking for even more options? Consider browsing the Educator Resources available via Nature Change.

Invasive Species Curriculum
Developed in 2017 for grades 6-12 (adaptable to younger students)
It is important for students to understand the impacts of invasive species and the issues affecting their own community. This subject intertwines with broader environmental topics and will contribute to a greater understanding of resource and habitat health. This curriculum can be applied in one or two class periods and multiple activities are provided to allow for flexibility. ISN has provided all of the information necessary for educators to take the reins and teach about the topic of invasive plants. All associated materials can be obtained directly from ISN or downloaded below.
