Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Webinar
Join ISN to learn about Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA), its impacts on our special hemlock trees, and how you can get involved with surveying on your own property. Winter is one of the best times to spot signs of the insect and we will review what to look for as well as look-a-likes, and how to report anything you find.
With HWA spotted as close as Ludington State Park, it is critical to get as many eyes on hemlock trees as possible to prevent the spread into our service area. Community-level engagement is often how new invasive species are spotted early (and successfully managed).
This event will be held virtually, via Zoom, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 6:00pm. Please register to access the Zoom link. Any questions can be directed to ISN Outreach Specialist, Emily Cook - ecook@gtcd.org.
(Registration for this event is now closed. A recording of the webinar will be available on our YouTube page soon.)
